As a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I have a keen interest in working with children, youth, adults, and families experiencing a variety of life challenges. Over the past 14 years I have had a series of experiences working with diverse populations in the social work and mental health field where I have acquired a strong foundation of knowledge and skills.
After graduating from the Bachelor of Social Work program I started working as a Family Services Worker in Child Protection. During the 5 years in this role I knew I wanted to further my education and experience to further support individuals struggling with mental health issues which led me to return to school to obtain my Master of Social Work degree.
After graduating from the MSW program, I started working at a Children's Mental Health agency where I continued to further my clinical skills through counselling children, youth and families within the brief therapy model.
In January 2017 I made the decision to enter the private practice world after finishing my second maternity leave. I wanted to be close to home to support my family and work within the Woodstock community, which I have come to call home after relocating here in 2012. I am a mom to two strong willed and independent little boys who keep me on my toes daily. I readily embrace my role as a busy working mom; enjoying my career and spending time with family, while pursuing my own personal wellness goals.
Since starting my private practice, I have been working with children, youth, and adults, offering individual counselling and psychotherapy. I will be starting to expand my services to include group therapy and workshops on mental health and wellness. Stay tuned to see what upcoming events and workshops will be offered!
